Handmade in our Shropshire workshop, the kitchen features a thick, solid timber frame, providing durability and stability for enthusiastic play. Every surface has a sanded, smooth finish, with all edges rounded over to ensure they are safe and comfortable for small hands.

Built to live outdoors year-round, the design utilises quality timber and fixings to withstand both the British weather and years of creative "cooking." Grovewood’s mud kitchen is a timeless, high-quality addition to any outdoor play area.

  • Our mud kitchens are built from pressure-treated timber, designed for a long life outdoors. To keep the kitchen clean and safe for play:

    Cleaning: Use a soft brush with warm water and a mild detergent (washing-up liquid is ideal) to remove dirt or "culinary" spills.

    Avoid Pressure Washing: High-pressure water can damage the timber fibres and strip the protective treatment.

    Algae & Mildew: If the timber develops a green tint over time due to a damp location, we recommend a gentle, timber-safe cleaner like Algon or a similar biological cleaner, ensure manufacture guidance is followed.

    Natural Movement: As a natural product, the timber may develop small cracks (shakes) or slight movement as it reacts to the weather; this is normal and does not affect the structural integrity.

  • Grovewood is based in Shropshire and offers both local and national delivery across England and Wales. Deliveries within a 40-mile radius are handled directly by Grovewood. All other orders are typically delivered via Proovia’s two-man service, a dedicated delivery specialist experienced in the manual handling of large and heavy items.

    The Proovia service includes tracking updates and a scheduled delivery window, with drivers being able to assist with safely unloading the gate on arrival.
